No. 7 Georgetown Women’s Lacrosse Season Opener vs. No. 2 Northwestern

Georgetown stayed closed to Northwestern for the first half and then the stronger NW team pulled ahead for a 24-15 win in front of a good crowd at the Georgetown University Multi-Purpose Field. Great weather and good light, just wish they would finish the construction at the end of the field, not a great background and it seems like they have been working on this for years.

#1 vs #3 Early Season Lacrosse

Good to see a full house at the University of Maryland FH-LAX Complex to see #1 Maryland and defending National Champion vs.#3 Duke.  Nice light and great weather for a February lacrosse game. Read more from the game at Inside Lacrosse. 

Nike Player of the Week

Congratulations to Anine Read from Stanford for her selection as the Nike Player of the Week from February 11 and the first of the new lacrosse season.   

New Post Cards

Just completed a new design for my PowerPlay Photography post cards for the upcoming Spring sports.   Thought I would show a little history from my past post card designs since 2008.  

These Girls Can Really Skate (and Shoot)

This is my forth year shooting the JWHL Challenge Cup and it is the fourth year that the Little Caesars team has made the finals. Congratulations to Little Caesars on a great win and another championship.  The Kettler Capital Iceplex is a photographers dream for shooting hockey; bright lights, photog box with no glass and the rink is actually not freezing.

The Young Guns

Loved shooting the Prep vs Landon Freshman basketball game over the weekend and seeing all the coaching and learning from these guys.   These guys really looked like they were all having a great time just playing the game.  View the rest of my game photos here. 

Jesuit Hoops Classic

This is my third year covering the Father George National Jesuit Christmas Classic.   It was great to see all the returning Jesuit high schools from across the county and a few new schools this year. Have to give it to the home team Prep going down big in the first half of the championship game and fighting back to make the game competitive.  Congratulations to Strake Jesuit from Houston on a great championship game.
