Last of the winter sport season

It was good to catch the last game of the season with some freshman basketball last evening.   Onto the official start of the spring season and lacrosse games.  

New Camera, First game with 1DX Mk II

First tryout of new gear and the Canon 1DX Mark II.   Still getting the feel for all the new features and this camera is amazing.   Way fast and I could have pushed the ISO even more for this old St Albans gym.   A few samples below.  

Jesuit Hoops at Prep

Just spend the past weekend shooting some high school basketball at the Father George National Jesuit Christmas Classic at Georgetown Prep.   This is the fifth year of the tournament that brings Jesuit high school teams from around the country.  Always a great event and the Georgetown Prep campus looks great.

Prep Freshman Basketball

It was to get out to a game last week and I was able to shoot the Georgetown Prep Freshman basketball team.  I was happy with the action, great job GP Freshman. The winter has been difficut to get to many games and need to get back in the shooting grove.

The Young Guns

Loved shooting the Prep vs Landon Freshman basketball game over the weekend and seeing all the coaching and learning from these guys.   These guys really looked like they were all having a great time just playing the game.  View the rest of my game photos here. 

Jesuit Hoops Classic

This is my third year covering the Father George National Jesuit Christmas Classic.   It was great to see all the returning Jesuit high schools from across the county and a few new schools this year. Have to give it to the home team Prep going down big in the first half of the championship game and fighting back to make the game competitive.  Congratulations to Strake Jesuit from Houston on a great championship game.
