These Girls Can Really Skate (and Shoot)

This is my forth year shooting the JWHL Challenge Cup and it is the fourth year that the Little Caesars team has made the finals. Congratulations to Little Caesars on a great win and another championship.  The Kettler Capital Iceplex is a photographers dream for shooting hockey; bright lights, photog box with no glass and the rink is actually not freezing.

JWHL Challenge Cup - Day 1

This is my third year as the official photographer for the JWHL Challenge Cup.   This tournament brings together the best in girls prep hockey from North America.   This tournament is considered the premier event for girls hockey with teams from LA, New York, Boston, Colorado, Vermont, and all across Canada.   The games are played at the Washington Capitals Kettler Iceplex in Arlington VA which is an excellent arena and a great place to shoot hockey.   My thanks to Kush from the Washington Pride to include me in this tournament.  He runs a class organization and teaches his young women what it takes to compete at this level with great sportsmanship and excellent hockey fundamentals.  The rest of the photos will be posted to my PowerPlay Photography site.
