First Game of the New Season

Trying out a new game-day set-up with a Pelican hard case.  This case is smaller than my rolling bag set-up but also allows the storage of my 300 2.8 lens.  A few sample from the Georgetown vs Towson game today.

New Season Underway

For an early season game, you never know what to expect with the weather.   Not a bad day with heavy rain at game time, but at least it was somewhat warm.  Other than getting nailed by stray shot, great day and happy with my results.   Here are a few samples that I shot for Inside Lacrosse

ND VS GT IN DC

Still trying to get used to my new Canon Mk IV, and I think I have some the settings finally moving in the right direction.   Not a 100% happy with the results, but I am sure it is me and not the camera.   Here are a few from the Notre Dame vs Georgetown lacrosse game in Washington DC.   Nice showing from the local Irish supporters and it looked like a ND home game.   Mike Bahniuk, Washington DC Sports Photographer.

Friday Night Under the Lights in DC

First lacrosse game of the season Friday night in DC with Georgetown hosting Maryland. It took a while to get back into the rhythm of the game.  This season, I am trying to see a different game, not sure what this is, but I think if I try to look at a different view of the game, I will get some unique and different shots.   Let’s see how this goes this season.

4OT Thriller in DC

Georgetown lost to Loyola in the fourth overtime Sunday afternoon in DC and this lost will cost the Hoya’s post-season play in the NCAA tournament again. Too bad that someone had to loose this game.  This was a rescheduled game from a Saturday rain out and what a great day to shoot with the late afternoon sun and clear blue skys.

No. 7 Georgetown Women’s Lacrosse Season Opener vs. No. 2 Northwestern

Georgetown stayed closed to Northwestern for the first half and then the stronger NW team pulled ahead for a 24-15 win in front of a good crowd at the Georgetown University Multi-Purpose Field. Great weather and good light, just wish they would finish the construction at the end of the field, not a great background and it seems like they have been working on this for years.
