A DC tradition (or at least a Bethesda tradition)

As usual the game did not disappoint, close game for 3 quarters and then 2 OT's for a Landon win.   A great spring tradition with the annual Prep vs Landon IAC game.  View the coverage from Inside Lacrosse here.   Complete game photos here.  

Spring Fling at SSSA

The Spring Fling girls tournament at St. Stephens and St. Agnes high school in Alexandria has become one of the staples of my spring schedule.   Great fun covering 6 games with some of the top-ranked high school teams in the US.   Bonus this year was the visiting U19 national team from England.   Some coverage from Inside Lacrosse here and the complete game coverage here.  

Night and day

Next weekend and what a week makes.   Last week was the snow game and an adventure to drive home from College Park. Georgetown University, one of my favorite places to shoot a game and great lacrosse weather.   More of the game photos here.  

Lacrosse is a springtime sport

First game of the season and spring has not yet arrived in DC.   Always wanted to cover a snow game and I was able to get in a few before they called the game, something about not being able to see the ball.   See more of my game shots photographs here and here.   Mike Bahniuk, DC based sports photographer.  

Mud, Sweet and Beer

You better not worry about your gear getting muddy at these obstacle course races, yea but what great fun to cover the Warrior Dash at Buds Creek MD for Gameface Media.   Check out all the photos from the day here.

Playoff Beard Time

Road trip to Greenville and some ECHL playoff hockey with the Greenville Road Warriors vs the Kalamazoo Wings.  Shooting this game was a challenge at best, the area still had the old style plexiglass and no shooting hole, but a great night of shooting some late season hockey.  Thanks to Mike Burton for the hospitality and the invitation to assist him with the game photos.   Here are a few samples from the game.
