Sometimes a Mess Up Works Out

Sure was not paying attention and I must have bumped my camera settings and now I am shooting at 1/90 sec, f/8 for half the game.   A few made for an interesting effect, somewhat a salvage.

Here are a few of the non 1/90 sec favorites.

Spring Must Be Around The Corner

First game of the season and 19 degrees at game time.   Early morning and a travel date to Charlottesville VA for the opening game of the season with a top 10 match-up of UVA vs. Loyola Maryland.   Not much of a game and I think I feel like the UVA team, took a little while to get back in the shooting groove. Great to be on the sidelines and thanks for Inside Lacrosse for the game slot.

Weekend in Philadelphia, NCAA Semifinal Game #2

The second game featured #6 seed Maryland vs. Johns Hopkins and with a big day from Matt Rambo, the Terrapins move on and will play Denver on Memorial Day for the National Championship.

Weekend in Philadelphia, NCAA Semifinal Notre Dame vs. Denver

Up early and a drive to Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia for the first D1 semifinal game featuring #1 Notre Dame vs #3 Denver.   Could not have a better day and the bonus was the grass field which kept the day very comfortable.   Turned out to be a great game with the Fighting Irish coming back in the fourth quarter to tie the game late and force overtime.

Cross State Saturday Night - 'The Rivalry'

The end of the game last night could not have come any quicker as I was not really prepare for the cold and rain.   Add to this a 8:00 PM start and bad Byrd stadium lighting, surprised I got any good ones from the Maryland vs. Johns Hopkins game on Saturday night.
Nice turn out with an announced crowd of 9,343 to see the Blue Jays defeat No.2 Maryland 15-12. These schools have played over 100 times and now they have an official trophy presented annually to the winners.   My first reaction to the new trophy was that they could have done better, looks like something made in Shop class.
