First game of the season and spring has not yet arrived in DC. Always wanted to cover a snow game and I was able to get in a few before they called the game, something about not being able to see the ball. See more of my game shots photographs here and here. Mud, Sweet and Beer
You better not worry about your gear getting muddy at these obstacle course races, yea but what great fun to cover the Warrior Dash at Buds Creek MD for Gameface Media. Check out all the photos from the day here.

Playoff Beard Time
Road trip to Greenville and some ECHL playoff hockey with the Greenville Road Warriors vs the Kalamazoo Wings. Shooting this game was a challenge at best, the area still had the old style plexiglass and no shooting hole, but a great night of shooting some late season hockey. Thanks to Mike Burton for the hospitality and the invitation to assist him with the game photos. Here are a few samples from the game.

The place to be in Bethesda on Friday night
Always a great crowd at the annual
Prep vs Landon game and this year did not disappoint. This this game is usually held on a weekday
afternoon and this year the game was held on Friday evening at the Georgetown
Prep campus. One of my favorites and
here are a few samples. See the rest of
the game shots at www.powerplayphotography. Also featured on DC Sports Fan and at Inside Lacrosse photo
of the week.

Then new .com for the f/stop crowd
As was
inevitable, the more common and generic top level domains (ie. .com, and .net)
are becoming scarce as more and more domains are registered each day. Earlier this year, ICANN (the group in charge
of managing domain names) released the “.photography” domain name. I felt lucky to be one of the first to stake-out this new domain and was able to register LAX.photography and
LACROSSE.photography. Stay tuned and
look-out for my new web site dedicated to lacrosse photography.
Below are a few from the St. Stephens and St. Agnew Spring Fling. Great girls action with 14 high school teams from across the country, including; St. Stephen's & St. Agnes School, Loyola Academy (Illinois), Our Lady of Good Counsel High School, St. Anthony's High School (New York), The Academy of the Holy Cross, Connelly School of the Holy Child, The Rumson Country Day School (New Jersey), Collegiate School, Archbishop John Carroll High School (Pennsylvania), Georgetown Visitation Preparatory School, Milton High School (Georgia), St. Anne's Belfield School, Agnes Irwin School (Pennsylvania), and Oakton High School.

New Season Underway
For an early season game, you never know what to expect with the weather. Not a bad day with heavy rain at game time, but at least it was somewhat warm. Other than getting nailed by stray shot, great day and happy with my results. Here are a few samples that I shot for Inside Lacrosse.
