Bad Light - Good Light

My day started in College Park with UNC vs. Maryland at noon and then to Baltimore to catch the second game of the Inside Lacrosse Face-Off Classic with UVA vs. JHU. The MD-UNC game was at noon and I was struggling with finding the right settings and the right position on the field. The second game in Baltimore was much better with the later afternoon sun allowing for some great shots. 

Great Day at College Park

Great weather in DC and the first warm day of the year with everyone outside and thinking Spring is here.   College Park was busy with softball, wrestling and lacrosse games all at the same time.  Great to get out and get my first lacrosse game in.  Check out more of the Penn State vs University of Maryland women's lacrosse game at Inside Lacrosse.com

Lacrosse Season Around the Corner

The upcoming lacrosse season is around the corner and it always seems to jump up on me, it's 15 degrees outside and the first games are less than a month away.  

Best of 2012

As we close 2012 it is good to look back and review my favorite shots from both from the games I attended and also from other photographers.   Inside Lacrosse magazine just posted their Best Of 2012 features and it was good to see a few of mine selected with the men's and women's features.

Jesuit Hoops at Prep

Just spend the past weekend shooting some high school basketball at the Father George National Jesuit Christmas Classic at Georgetown Prep.   This is the fifth year of the tournament that brings Jesuit high school teams from around the country.  Always a great event and the Georgetown Prep campus looks great.

Irish are 12-0 and Miami Bound

Congratulations to the Notre Dame Fighting Irish for reaching the BCS National Championship. What a great season and no better way to end the regular season than to beat USC. Here are a few photos from the Irish locker room and Manti Te'o from his freshman year ( ie no tattoos).  Next stop Miami.

My family and I look forward to the Montgomery County fair each August, it is good to see that my county is not just lawyers and government bureaucrats.
