Weekend in Philadelphia, NCAA Semifinal Notre Dame vs. Denver
Up early and a drive to Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia for the first D1 semifinal game featuring #1 Notre Dame vs #3 Denver. Could not have a better day and the bonus was the grass field which kept the day very comfortable. Turned out to be a great game with the Fighting Irish coming back in the fourth quarter to tie the game late and force overtime.

Cross State Saturday Night - 'The Rivalry'
The end of the game last night could not have come any
quicker as I was not really prepare for the cold and rain. Add to this a 8:00 PM start and bad Byrd
stadium lighting, surprised I got any good ones from the Maryland vs. Johns
Hopkins game on Saturday night.
Nice turn out with an announced crowd of 9,343 to see the Blue Jays defeat No.2 Maryland 15-12. These schools have played over 100 times and now they have an official trophy presented annually to the winners. My first reaction to the new trophy was that they could have done better, looks like something made in Shop class.

A DC tradition (or at least a Bethesda tradition)
As usual the game did not disappoint, close game for 3 quarters and then 2 OT's for a Landon win. A great spring tradition with the annual Prep vs Landon IAC game. View the coverage from Inside Lacrosse here. Complete game photos here.

Spring Fling at SSSA
The Spring Fling girls tournament at St. Stephens and St. Agnes high school in Alexandria has become one of the staples of my spring schedule. Great fun covering 6 games with some of the top-ranked high school teams in the US. Bonus this year was the visiting U19 national team from England. Some coverage from Inside Lacrosse here and the complete game coverage here.

Night and day
Next weekend and what a week makes. Last week was the snow game and an adventure to drive home from College Park. Georgetown University, one of my favorite places to shoot a game and great lacrosse weather. More of the game photos here.
