A DC tradition (or at least a Bethesda tradition)

As usual the game did not disappoint, close game for 3 quarters and then 2 OT's for a Landon win.   A great spring tradition with the annual Prep vs Landon IAC game.  View the coverage from Inside Lacrosse here.   Complete game photos here.  

8th Annual Jesuit Gridiron Classic - Day of Rivals

My first football game of the season and it was a great day to shoot.   Great crowd and you could feel the players excitement during the warm-ups.  I have to admit Prep surprised me and by the first half score, so was Gonzaga. The rivalry that used to be...

Still don't fully understand why they tossed Prep out of the IAC football conference.   This game used to be one of the great DC high school games to circle on the calendar.   Both schools still try to make this game what is used to be when this game decided the IAC conference championship.   Good to see that this game is back on the back on the schedule.

Jesuit Gridiron Classic

The annual Jesuit Gridiron Classic always brings out the best in the Prep vs. Gonzaga rivalry.   Great crowd and great weather, but the game was not as close as I would have thought (Gonzaga 41 – Prep 21).   The Prep campus looked great with the new addition to the student center and it make a great entry for the players.

1-2 Classic in Bethesda

Another classic in Bethesda Maryland as Prep (13-3, Post #1) and Landon (12-3, Post #2) battle for the top of the Washington DC high schools standings and the IAC lacrosse title.   Prep wins 4-3 in a defensive battle with a late score in the 3rd period from Pat Glading (brother of Danny Glading, 2005 All Met Player of the Year and Prep alum).

Basketball Remote

Just finished shooting the National Jesuit Christmas Classic hosted by Georgetown Prep in Bethesda MD. This was my second year as the official photographer and I really enjoyed all the games. I tried something new this year with a camera remote mounted behind the backboard. This was my first remote and I learned a lot for the next time.
