High School Football Weekend

Just finished a great weekend shooting high school football.   Started Friday night with Damascus vs. Springbrook and I was very impressed with Damascus as they looked like State Champions to me. Saturday started with Bishop Ireton at Bullis and then quickly off to Bishop McNamara at Good Counsel.  Loved shooting the late afternoon game with the warm sunset tone, which is a complete opposite of the Friday night game at Springbrook.  The field lights were so bad I left at halftime.

58 Days and counting..

The official lacrosse season starts in less than 58 days and on the newsstands this week is the Inside Lacrosse Yearbook. Yours truly has several game photos featured including several of the Under Armor All American games I shot for IL last July.

Also, IL featured one of my shots from the Georgetown vs. Rutgers game last season as the main photo for the Big East Conference section. Glad to see my photo used, but really…Rutgers as the main highlight for the new Big East Lacrosse Conference? I guess you can only use Syracuse so many times.

Basketball Remote

Just finished shooting the National Jesuit Christmas Classic hosted by Georgetown Prep in Bethesda MD. This was my second year as the official photographer and I really enjoyed all the games. I tried something new this year with a camera remote mounted behind the backboard. This was my first remote and I learned a lot for the next time.
