My first football game of the season and it was a great day to shoot. Great crowd and you could feel the players excitement during the warm-ups. This was my first try at shooting motosports and by the end of the day I think I was getting the hang of some of the unique techniques for race photos. This was the inaugural race in Baltimore and featured both Indy and ALMS cars.
Yea, I am getting old. I have watched several of these pro players grow-up and photographed their games from high school to college and now the pro Major League Lacrosse championship game. What 24 hours makes, this game was sunny, blue skys and a dry field. So long Irene.
So mark this up in my list of photo assignments - shoot a game in the middle of a hurricane. OK, the first games was wet and the rain added to some good shots, the second game was almost not worth the effort. The rain was coming down in sheets anything I had to clean the front of my lens was soaking wet. Final championship game today and it is still raining. Supposed to dry by the time of the face-off.
