The Official End To My Lacrosse Season

This past week I had the chance to shoot the National Lacrosse Classic, it was great to see all the players and teams from around the country. Just a few years back, all you would see would be teams from the East, but teams are here from Carolina, Missouri, Ohio and Northern California.

This marks the end to my lacrosse photo season. I have been happy with my progress and my goal this year was to try for more than the standard shot.

Under Armour All-American Games

Now that was a long day shooting lacrosse.  Spent the day at Towson University shooting the Under Armour All-America games.  Thanks to my friend Peter Casey for helping cover all these games. Here are some samples and some coverage from Inside Lacrosse.

Pro Lacrosse Saturday Night

I was excited to shoot my first MLL pro lacrosse game, but not the results I wanted or expected.  My camera was on the fritz again and not much to show for my nights worth of work.  Back to Canon for another service call.

Fun in the Mud

I had the opportunity to shoot the Spartan Race in Virginia over the weekend, what a great time watching these runners weave through and over 18 obstacles including a 100 yard mud crawl under barbed wire.   I was shooting the action at the Gladiator pit which the runners really loved the challenged or were really annoyed that these guys were preventing them from the finish line.

On Further Review

It has been a few days since I spent the weekend in Baltimore shooting the NCAA D-1 Lacrosse Championship and I finally had chance to look at some of my photographs.   I up-loaded some right after the game from the stadium and now that I have had a chance to look at the games again, I notice a few more that captured the action and emotion from the championship game.

Race Time in the VA Wine Country

Early morning today to shoot the VA Wine Country Half Marathon.  Not really a chance to get creative, but here are a few samples.  I was to get a few of the start and then rush to the finish before the first runners crossed.
